SoG Members Autumn Social Event

Description

Join us to celebrate Michaelmas and the Feast Day of St. Jerome, patron saint of librarians and libraries, and archivists, and by extension - genealogists.

Michaelmas is the time of year that the darker nights and colder days begin, and often when we turn our eyes back to our family history research after a busy Summer.  Hosted by our Genealogist, Else Churchill, who will tell us more about Michaelmas and how it affected our ancestors lives.  We will also hear updates on SoG news, and will use breakout rooms to chat to other SoG members and friends.

So feel free to join us for virtual afternoon high tea , cocktails or wine and nibbles (depending on your whims and time zones). Sorry it’s BYO refreshments. Goose and blackberries are traditional fare on Michaelmas, but optional…

A 90-minute social for SoG members only, free of charge but you must book your place.
