Record Depositories in Scotland for Family History

This talk will focus on the primary sources that anyone researching Scotland should know about. It will look at the National Records of Scotland, the ScotlandsPeople Centre and National Library of Scotland.

Lorna is sure to teach you something that is interesting and useful, that you don't already know!

About the speaker:  Lorna Kinnaird is a Scottish professional genealogist accredited by ASGRA who has been researching her family since she was 17 years old and for clients professionally since 2012.  She runs Dunedin Links Genealogy from her home in Edinburgh.

Lorna has a passion for seeking and finding Scots throughout the British Isles.  A trip to the LMA in 2019 found the Caledonian Asylum Petitions which she is in the process of cataloguing for a database and then perhaps a book. She is also involved in the Reivers Festival which takes place each March at Hawick providing a joint talk on finding a reiver ancestor.  Lorna is also a course tutor for IHGS.
