Lunchtime Chat: Tracing your Midland Ancestors

90 Minute Social

Description

Join our guest Caroline Mason in our virtual SoG common room for a chat to learn more about tracing your ancestors who lived in the Midlands - the counties of Staffordshire, Warwickshire & Worcestershire which surround the city of Birmingham. Grab a sandwich and a cup of tea and sit down with us.

Our lunchtime chats are friendly and relaxed. We take the opportunity to talk with you about the work of Midlands Ancestors (Birmingham & Midland Society for Genealogy & Heraldry), and how they can help you. Caroline will highlight Midland Ancestors' collections. They include the areas of the old counties as they existed before the major boundary changes of the 19th and 20th centuries, as well as the areas brought into them by those changes.

Then it’s your turn to talk and ask questions. You can join small breakout groups to exchange ideas and you can take part in joint discussions in the virtual common room.

A 90-minute social event with Caroline Mason, librarian at Midlands Ancestors. Free of charge to SoG Members Only but you must book your place. Non-members are welcome to attend this educational social, paying the registration fee.
