Ever been tempted to change your genealogy software package but thought – what if I lose something?
Or do you have your information in a commercial system (Ancestry, Findmypast, etc) and want to move it offline?
In this short tutorial, John Hanson discusses the options available and explains exactly what that mysterious thing called GEDCOM is all about.
John intends to primarily cover Family Historian, Legacy, Rootsmagic, and Family Tree Maker software, plus the websites Findmypast and Ancestry. If you have another package you would like him to cover, then please let us know in advance.
