Agricultural labourers – there is more to research than you realise

Most of us have agricultural labourers in our ancestry, and most of us think our “ag labs” are boring. This day aims to prove otherwise and provide some quick tips to establish where they lived, who they worked for and what they got up to. We will learn about the wealth of records which enable us to piece together their lives. We will hear about the diaries of Nicholas Oxley, a Georgian ag lab who kept a detailed diary including the influence of weather across the globe, religion, farm workers, family, crops and much more.
