Sources for Professions, Trades and Occupations in the SoG Library

Genealogists are always encouraged to fill out their ancestor’s life story; to ask what did your ancestors do?

The Society’s library is well placed to help answer that question with extensive reference works, name rich lists, directories, sources for apprenticeships, professions trades and occupation. Some are being digitised and placed online for members and others are in books scattered about the library.

This talk will help you identify what there is and how to find it.
