Vanished City: London’s Lost Neighbourhoods

London is constantly on the move. There is so much change all around us that we scarcely notice it, but among the areas that are vanished and forgotten are some of London’s most famous - and infamous - neighbourhoods.

Join Tom Bolton, whose book, Vanished City: London’s Lost Neighbourhoods looks at ten places, which for different reasons, have disappeared from the map. They include the most feared streets in the Western world, London’s first Olympic Park, its Tudor port, and a high society spa resort.

Can't make this time? Book anyway as this talk will be recorded and available to watch for 2 weeks.

About the speaker: Dr. Tom Bolton received his PhD from the Bartlett School of Architecture, University College London. He is a writer, teacher and urban researcher, working primarily with public bodies, third sector, national, regional and local government and professional bodies.

He is the author of five books including Vanished City: London’s Lost Neighbourhoods (pub. Strange Attractor).
