Join Sally Bird for an online tour of Mrs Smith’s Cottage in Navenby, Lincolnshire. Using a digital model, created by the University of Lincoln to bring the cottage to life, this talk will weave oral histories and personal diaries together with evidence from the cottage construction to explore the story of this 1830s workers cottage.
We will look at the reality of daily living at that time through the extraordinary ordinary life of Mrs Smith, and in the process get a better glimpse into the lives of our own ancestors.
